Unique wares for unique people.

Howdy! My name is Miranda and I’m the one-woman-show behind everything Lucky Crow Studio. My story with clay began as many do – with a couple high school classes. While these classes consisted mostly of hand-building projects, I couldn’t help but be intrigued by the pottery wheels in the corner. Unfortunately, by the time we were introduced, I was just a few months away from graduation. I had no choice but to put my newfound interest on pause.

As the pandemic hit in 2019, I found myself having a ton of extra free time and untapped creative energy. Is there a better time to pick up an old interest? I bought a bag of clay and my first pottery wheel, the Shimpo Aspire, and let my passion fly. I soon accumulated tools, sponges, pottery batts, glazes, you name it. With the purchase of my first plug-in kiln, the Cress BT911T, the foundation of my first home studio was complete – Lucky Crow Studio was born and pottery quickly became my passion!

While in my Southern Californian hometown, I was lucky enough to take part in multiple local markets, have my pottery shown in coffee shops, and grow a small community. Making one-of-a-kind pieces with eye-catching colors turns out to be a superb way to meet amazing people as unique as the pots I make.

Since then, I’ve moved to the UK and have been fortunate enough to put together my second home studio! Though difficult in the beginning, I’m ready to sling mud and push the dream further from across the pond.

More fun facts:
  • I’m proudly from San Diego County, California.
  • I love nature! Obviously crows are at the top of the list.
  • I’m “addicted” to coffee. I can stop anytime, but why would I want to?
